i have written a small kotlin library that when started on my mac needs 300ms to iterate 10000 steps. but when i run it on a Nexus 5 it takes 4 seconds. Does anyone have an idea why the difference of the performance is so big ? 😕

@joachim.reiss. Computers are much faster than mobile devices. Also probably you should check GC (if your library do a lot of allocation it could significantly decrease performance) and do overall performance profiling. Anyway dalvik/art much slower then HotSpot, just because architecture (trade-off speed/memory)

hey guys Im getting an exception when trying t run a single kotlin file with main function on android studio canary build, any idea?

and if i just run the app(and not the single file via the k icon) it runs without errors but i cant see the log or the print ln

@roee I'm not sure non-Android projects are supported in Android Studio.

hey guys, did anybody see this issue before: "Error:(29, 41) Cannot access class 'ViewComponent'. Check your module classpath for missing or conflicting dependencies" this happens when I switch from debug to release flavor. Class ViewComponent exists in both flavors

I’m building a custom view in Kotlin, ad it’s showing up gray in the Android Studio layout editor. Anybody able to see custom views in the editor correctly if those views are in kotlin?

I’m trying to rule out it being a Kotlin issue
