@Nikky I'm not using it explicitly, seems like its being pulled in automatically. I just reverted to 116. I don't think rc3 has been officially released yet. The same exact build works fine with rc2/116.

This is a Gradle plugin project though, so maybe the gradle plugin is pulling it in, and shouldn't be

And yay, RC4 doesn't have the dependency issue with the embedded compiler reported above with RC3. Sweet, can't wait to get my feet wet with 1.3.

Looks like 190 is the first build to work since 116 🎉 (Using Gradle 5 and Gradle Kotlin DSL in an Android project)

error with 1.3.0-rc-146. @orangy previously said that SuccessOrFailure is from a pre-release stdlib that was subsequently removed, but so far as I can tell my code is using kotlin-stdlib 1.3.0-rc-146 - which I believe is the current RC build. com.github.yamamotojcached property kotlin0.1.0 is my guess

or org.amshove.kluentkluent1.35, those are not depending on 1.3 by default, i'd guess they fail because the types they want are not available

i had a similar issue with kgraphql using old coroutinesl ibrary, the references the library was trying to use result in missing classes and it broke at runtime

took me a while to pin that one down

well in that case i'd guess that it fails when kotlinx-serialization plugin generates code ? it encounters the missing type and boom
