I recently started using Kotlin as we've decided to use it for future server side development at day-job. I'll be documenting some things as I explore the Kotlin ecosystem. We've decided to go with Vertx + Kotlin, and while the kotlin integration has been really seamless, it took me some time to figure out how best to use coroutines with vertex http route handlers. I'm only a week in with Kotlin, but I was pretty happy with the extension method I landed on to get coroutine aware route handlers. https://anuragsoni.github.io/post/vertx-kotlin/

The update released today adds greatly improved support for Jetpack Compose Desktop apps and Kotlin Multiplatform. Conveyor can import config from the Kotlin/Compose Gradle plugins, build signed/notarized or self-signed packages for every desktop OS from your laptop or Linux CI box and the resulting packages silently update in the background (+other useful features). We think it's time that browsers had some proper competition! With better packaging support and the upcoming 1.2 release Compose Desktop is going to become a great way to not only bring Android apps to the desktop, but also develop desktop-first apps that benefit from simpler, more productive and more secure architectures than a typical web app has.
