    I work on a fairly largeish kotlin project and don't see that. my heap usage rarely goes above 400-500mb

    perhaps attach visualvm to your intellij and start the sampler?

    I use Gradle Kotlin Script on the project, not sure if that is linked or not

    But before try setting -Xmx to bigger value, I personally use 
    -Xmx2048m
    for Kotlin project

    we're being nailed by the Gradle/IntelliJ incompatibility that breaks everything when we upgrade to gradle 3.4 😞

    ah ok, we are upgrading to 2017 now - we had to add a bunch of @Suppress to work around issues with the kotlin 1.1 plugin, but i think they are fixed soon

    there is 
    Join Lines
    action in the Idea allowing to join several lines into one. Is there opposite action? For example i want to split one big line into nice chops:

    no, sometimes you need to join or split lines when both the joined and the split variant are valid formatting options

    One of the most annoying things: You hover over an incomplete method and it says 
    no value passed for parameter a
    and below 
    no value passed for parameter b

    If you've just messed up the order, you can place your cursor on one of the parameters and move them by pressing [ctrl]+[shift]+[alt]+[arrow key]. Saved me a lot of frustration with copy/pasting commas 🙂

    I've had that happen, and File -> Invalidate Caches and Restart fixes it

    not really a "fix", but... it does happen to me, and this is my workaround
