Hi. IntelliJ 2019.1 will default to using Gradle to build and run tests, but Gradle doesn’t report test names correctly for anything but “vanilla” JUnit test classes. (See issue https://github.com/gradle/gradle/issues/5975). This makes test results very hard to diagnose. Will JetBrains be doing anything to address this problem before 2019.1 is released?

Is it only me or does IntelliJ become noticeably slower when .kt files are longer than the average? I think I started noticing it in files with around 700+ lines. Anyone else?

Is there any reason why there isn’t a special plugin for AS 3.5 Canary. I find that in 3.5, latest plugin updates show only the 3.4 version of the plugin. Also, I use the plugins just like that cos I prefer 3.5 Canary to 3.4 Beta, should I be careful that I will run into potential issues? Finally, can someone please summarise to me why there must be different versions of the intelliJ plugin for different IntelliJ/AS versions. Thanks 🙏

Hello, I'm making a new multi-module gradle project in IntelliJ. But when I create a new module, I don't get the option to create a package for it inside IntelliJ. Can you guys tell me what to do?

also we cannot find a straight story on whether to check in the IML files or not, we currently are checking them in however it's problematic because the user's home directory gets embedded into the class path of the iml file

my gradle build copies resources to the build/resources folder as expected but when I run tests with intellij, there are no resources in the out/ directory

Is anyone else annoyed at the fact that the java to kotlin conversor creates virtual properties out of all functions which have a get/set prefix? Just to give you an example, in applications such as Spring backends (bean methods) you may want to keep them as functions. All in all, I consider the decision of converting functions into virtual properties shouldn't be taken automatically.

inside a MPP im trying to run all Tests from intellij by right-clicking on the root-package of

-> "Run all in …". I'd expect that at least tests for the jvmTarget would be executed but instead a notice pops up informing me that "No tests were found in module …,jvmTest" and i may choose some other module (which, of course, always results in the same error)

a few days ago intellij started with a weired behahavior: it stopd reacting in any way to keyboard inputs. neither i can change editor tabs or open settings via keyboard, not i can write anything into the currently open editor> Any idea how to debug? It's really annoying - the only thin i can do is kill it and restart intellij...
