I have a strange Kotlin/Intellj problem: Kotlin complains that

javax.xml.XMLConstants.NULL_NS_URI

is an unresolved reference, but

javax.xml.XMLConstants.XML_NS_URI

works fine. Compiling from command line works for both. Any ideas? 2 replies tried, but did not help. feels like intellj uses another (older?) version of some jars. Besides XMLConstants it also complains about org.w3c.dom.Node.textContent. Just to clarify: IDE does not flag this as a bug (no red swiggle underline), but e.g. trying to run unit test code complains during build

Hi, is there anyway to set working directory to be that of project to IntelliJ Idea Kotlin REPL shell?

I am using it to do some data wrangling and machine learning things. Some of the libraries however depend on the working directory and I cannot get them work properly now which is sad 🙂

Related issue is that when you have lot of dependencies i.e. long classpath the REPL does not open at all where as run configurations manage them ok by switching to file based classpaths or something like that.

Finally using when using prinln() function the console does not show the ln where as print("\ln") works

How come IntelliJ doesn't have something to indicate a kotlin class is open or not on the project tree view?

Similar to how for Java it shows a pin on the classes that are final

I can't seem to get IntelliJ to preserve proper indentation when pasting blocks of code

I've been searching for a solution to this but all of them refer to an setting that appears to be missing now

paste simple: ctrl + alt + shift + V

other way intellij will reformat on paste

i want the indentation to make sense in the new position

and it only keeps the indentation of the first line

rather, it pastes the first line at the cursor and the remaining lines have the original indentation... i want them to have indentation appropriate for the new position

what's your setting for editor | general | smart keys | reformat on paste?

@yole currently it is set to Reformat Block, however I have tried all 4 settings here and they do not change my pasting behavior
