Got my first mac. It's hard adjusting to the keyboard shortcuts... Does anyone know if there's a mac equivalent of the "Ctrl+Shift+P" command? It show's the type returned from an expression.

You can search in the keyboard shortcut prefs if you know what the action name is

usually, ctrl becomes cmd in shortcuts…with a few exceptions

I used the wizard in intellij to configure my maven project to add Kotlin but now sometimes the java settings for the same module completely dissapears and java files are not recognized. Anyone had that issue?

does anyone know what a

LightClass

is? after converting one file to kotlin via the auto-convert (and then editing it manually), I couldn't compile it and just got a light class exception . Unfortunately I don't have this exception anymore to paste but does anyone know what this is? Also there was a recursive exception sometimes too... The code was very long so I gave up, but I will try again sometime in the future to convert it from java and it would help to know what to look for next time to isolate the problem. my code had some jdbc access in it, don't know if that was related to the problem

No idea what it does, seems to be related to "Program Structure Interface"s.

@Dalinar when you have exceptions in the IDE, you should have a red circle with an exclamation mark in the bottom right corner where you can click to submit the exception to jetbrains

light classes are something internal to the kotlin compiler/IDE plugin. basicly they are used to represent a kotlin class as a java class so that code that works with java classes can also work with kotlin classes (in a limited way)

I’m in the process of upgrading Kotlin to 1.2. I’m testing the new

flag for late init vars, but the property is marked as not available in the IDE. I’ve double checked that I’m using the latest plugin. Is this a known issue?
