i just noticed i need to deselect “keep line breaks”, then it works fine

It seems like with Android Studio 3.0.1 and Kotlin 1.2.20 it is currently not possible to execute a main class within an android module. Attempting to do so results in a

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

. I found this issue: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/68021152 where a Google dev seems to think the issue lies within the Kotlin plugin. I tried to see if this was reported in YouTrack but wasn't able to find it. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

in kotlin-stdlib-jre8 (deprecated) use is a method on AutoClosable, and when i change it to stdlib-jdk8 it’s instead a method on Closable, so my that uses use with AutoClosable breaks.

Since I updated to kotlin 1.2.20 and intellij 2017.3.3 the auto-format settings for Kotlin changed. Previously I could write the following:

but now intellij puts the

after the signature in all cases. Is there a way to adjust that to the previous configuration (keep the

=

on the next line if defined)

I found a setting where I can define that the expression body should be on the next line but nothing about

=

iirc there have been a couple of YTs filed over quirks in the IDE style enforcement since 1.2

I've already switched my production builds to kotlin-dsl and I don't have problems there at the moment, those don't change very often though. Currently I only have problems with my "learning / testing new stuff" builds

Hey folks, I have a mixed java/kotlin project. If I choose

Create Test

on a class, or whatever, I can choose the package that the test goes into - but it goes into

/src/test/java

regardless of if I want the test to be in kotlin/java/what have you. Is there a way to customize that, or do I just need to hand-create the file in the desired target directory?

After upgrading to version 181.3263.15 of Intellij Community Edition, Kotlin plugin no longer works and I get the following error

WARN: Kotlin not loaded: until build 173.SNAPSHOT < IC-181.3263.15

Okey, it seems like removing and installing the Kotlin plugin solved the problem.
