any idea what to do?

JetBrains made some videos dedicated to refactoring Java using intelliJ. Some of those auto refactorings are no longer applicable to Kotlin, so my question is, does JetBrains plan to make some Kotlin specific refactoring videos?

I seem to be missing the "Settings Repository" options in my IntelliJ ultimate? any ideas (no pun intended) 🙂

sorry - not sure what is meant to be there. I'm trying to set up a github repo to share the settings, there is no option to do that

Ah I remember it being under there, my bad.

In tools -> Settings Repo, I can't see an option to create the repo.

(the menu looks quite different to the copy of community on my other machine)

is the latest kotlin release borked in intellij? it seems to misconfigure the target compile facet to 1.6 instead of 1.8

The code is semantically the same without the assertion right? The only thing I think could be different is the type of exception.

Running into an issue with IntelliJ when upgraded our projects cradle dependencies, basically many things break for instance test module references to main module. We really do not like iml files and would like to get rid of them if possible.

the ones located in .idea/modules/

does intellij support resources in your gradle buildSrc directory?

resources folder is located in buildSrc/src/test/resources btw and marked as test resources

is there a way to scroll horizontally without moving the cursor? (similar to vertical ctrl+up/down)

how do I select iMport Changes via keyboard

Whenever I update the build.gradle, intellij unmarks my kotlin source directory as a source directory

Let's say I have a vertical split with the same file in each A.kt (left) and A.kt (right)

if I jump to a declearion (ctrl+b) on something in A.kt (left). Then press ctrl+tab to go back it parks in the right pane and leaves the newly opened file in the left

This works correctly when single pane

What settings do I change to get my desired behavior? i.e. ctrl+tab goes back to previous file/loc in the same pane
