Has anyone else experience a problem with git commits on IntelliJ? (I’m using Android Studio 2020.3.1 Beta 2, but I vaguely remember having this problem too) When I select parts of a file to do a partial commit the IDE just commits the whole file 😞

The above question still stands - does anybody know what the MACOS binding for Clone Caret is? The binding is unlisted in all available keymaps - see the GNOME Settings entry from my Linux workstation. It says there is no shortcut for Clone Caret, yet I use that shortcut every day! Edit: Nevermind, it's ALT on Mac. I thought I tried that already 🤦‍♂️

I often encounter IDE errors (eg. Gradle build exceptions, Kotlin compiler internal errors) that cannot be reported using Idea's built-in error reporting feature. Do you experience similar errors? It would be good if all errors could be reported from the IDE...

Hi. I moved my plugin to intellij-platform-plugin-template some time ago. How am I supposed to do release? Based on https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-platform-plugin-template#release-flow I think all I need to do is select the draft release (after build), edit it, insert a version number I want in title and publish? Although for me it doesn't change the version. Perhaps I have some wrong config after move?

The Dependency Structure Matrix function doesn't see compiled output from Gradle, and JPS doesn't pick up the compile options from Gradle, which makes things a bit difficult to keep in sync. Is there any plan for DSM to use Gradle-compiled output?

when working with kotlin sonatype projects release profiles in maven i have gone with jvm-target 16. IJFW! however when im using intellij run/debug buttons i have constant headaches i had to make this release profile special to use 16 because "1.8<->16" cannot inline code compiled in the other. And then, also "your project is using a later version of the plugin than 1.5.10 check for updates" 1. is 1.8 the irrefutable end-state of kotlin at this time? 2. is there an online repo of kotlin plugins i can sideload into intellij ?

I’m on the 2021.3 RC version and had to switch back to 2021.2 version because of 1.6 Kotlin plugin is missing 😢. The difference in performance is huge, 2021.3 is much faster 👍 . Looking forward to the release version
