For some reason only in Kotlin slack does up arrow not work for me for editing the message I just sent. I have to go click the context menu and choose edit message. Is that a setting thing we can change for this workspace?

If anyone wants to checkout my #reports server then please do so; it's a new idea I came up with to help combat people that are consistently breaking channel rules. It can be easy to dismiss this as a lame channel, but please don't do so just yet. Some points: • you have a nice and clean format for reporting people. for it is much more organised than simply posting on #meta, as with #meta you get reports but that's also mixed with other content meaning you have to sift through posts if you're a moderator. • some reports on #meta are in different formats and a bit messy. Having a nice clean format for users to report rule-breakers will make the process of moderation much much easier. Moderators can get the needed details quick. If you disagree with me regarding this, that's OK, I'm not saying you have to agree with me, just don't join the channel. Which channel is best to talk about Kotlin Discussions posts as a form of like meta-commentary? I know my question is vague, and so to clarify like for example if I wanted to discuss the pattern of a Kotlin Discussions post being created every few months about Kotlin vs Java, what channel would be the best to start a thread like that in? I thought about posting in #general, but it seems like that probably wouldn't be appropriate

Hi there, been lurking for a while but want to use the kotlinlang slack more actively. However, I find it very confusing which topic to use and there seems to be an over-abundance of topics as well. It would be truly helpful if the admins could write proper topic descriptions, maybe have an FAQ somewhere for newcomers (maybe there is?), and lastly trim down on the amount of topics. Just a suggestion 🙂

I have a question and am having a hard time finding the right channel. It's mostly about mental health resources during a so-far-fruitless Android job search. Is there an appropriate channel? It's only slightly Kotlin related, so should I even be asking it on this workspace?

I think that some channels must be merged. For example there is #testing and #test. Maybe make a list of "official" channels?

I would like to request creation of channel for socialization of kotlin developers where we can discuss topics not related to development. I suggest name "chaos" or "socializing". I don't think #random is appropriate channel, as most of the topics there are related to programming, that authors did not find other appropriate channel to poste to.
