I've been noticing that some users have
    [MOD]
in their name that weren't in the original list of mods. Is there an updated list of mods somewhere, and if these users aren't mods is there any issue with them having that in their name?

    Could I get
    #kmdc

Here's an idea - it would be cool to make use of slack-connect feature to link kotlin slack with gradle slack as those two often intersect anyways.

Hi, I have a private ktlint-dev channel for the maintainers of ktlint. We’re adding a new maintainer so we wanted to archive the old one and create a new private ktlint-dev channel (basically add a new member without preserving the channel history.) Would you be able to handle that for us?

What is the intended purpose of the #compose-ui channel compared to the other compose ones? It looks like it was created by someone not at Google or Jetbrains, and has no channel topic, but was mentioned “officially” here.

hey folks! can someone please assist us with creating a new channel dedicated to the new Google’s library Glance - https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2021/12/announcing-jetpack-glance-alpha-for-app.html. About the name for the channel maybe just #glance or #compose-glance if you think the first one is too generic.

Now that compose grew up to be such a multi-headed hydra, I propose renaming #compose channel to #compose-android to match #compose-wear, #compose-web and #compose-desktop. Then it would be great to have a new #compose (or maybe #compose-meta) channel created to be focussed on general compose questions (state management, code sharing between platforms, integrating with external stuff, etc...).

The black font emojis are extremely hard to read and distinguish with dark theme. I'd like to suggest improving them, for example by a white border, so that they are also decipherable on dark theme.

I would like to resurface this post once again because I believe it is has consistency and maximizes signal to noise ratio. https://kotlinlang.slack.com/archives/C0B8W32VA/p1645632237168149?thread_ts=1644919143.623599&cid=C0B8W32VA The idea of having compose specific posts/insights/questions which are unrelated to a platform makes it easy to subscribe/follow the things you are interested in most In the linked thread, Adam suggests that this is a bad idea for online communities, but I respectfully disagree with the claim, coz as member of this community, I tend to jump and overlook most of compose questions just because most of them are platform specific. The idea of renaming #compose to #compose-android to maintain its members sounds good. And the follow up of creating another channel (be it #compose or #compose-general or #compose-multiplatform) seems convenient. It also sits nicely with the already existing #compose-desktop, #compose-ios, #compose-web and #compose-wear channels. Thoughts??

Hello JetBrains slack team! We are authoring a new pure-Kotlin framework and library for fullstack development with Kotlin Multiplatform. You can think of it kind of like Next.js but for Kotlin. We were wondering if we could humbly request a channel to collaborate in?

The framework is called Elide and I'm happy to pass around links to anyone interested, but it is still relatively early; and relies on some alpha/unstable features in Kotlin. But, with that caveat, it is a working model which we are moving to a production-quality lib. You can try it via Gradle or Docker if interested!
