I think you should move to it, but if you want to keep library compatible with 1.0, then use 1.0 compatibility options

I really dislike such generic names, as if they pretend to be the true one. We didn't name ktor something like "kotlin-web" for a reason

Hi all, we are building a distriuted actor framework on Kotlin coroutines, https://github.com/AsynkronIT/protoactor-kotlin We already have solid support for Go and C#, and now the Kotlin port is being completed. If anyone is interested in this space, feel free to join in on the effort

Looking for Kotliners who are interested in contributing to the OpenFaaS Kotlin Templates project ( https://github.com/napperley/openfaas-kotlin-templates ). The project provides Kotlin templates for the open source OpenFaas ( https://www.openfaas.com/ ) Serverless platform, which is supported by the community. Need some people who can work on a new OpenFaaS Kotlin JVM template, which will use Graal as the preferred JVM implementation.

I’ve just read this (old) post: https://www.igvita.com/2011/12/19/dont-push-your-pull-requests/ Being on both sides of the fence quite often (e.g. with #ktor on receiving side and with IntelliJ on contributing side), I wonder if we can make the process of contributing to OSS projects a better experience for both parties. If you do open source, can you share your stories, issues and ideas about doing it better?

Good initiative @Francesco megna. I have been working on Valiktor - a fluent DSL to validate objects in Kotlin (it doesn't use annotations). Maybe we can talk and merge our ideas within a single project, what do you think? https://github.com/valiktor/valiktor

Anybody interested in joining? Very very early stage multiplatform date & time library. https://github.com/fluidsonic/fluid-time Idea is to have something in between the
    java.time
API and Swift's date/time API, multiplatform starting with JVM & iOS. At first it'll make use the underlying platform APIs (using threeten backport for Java, native for iOS) while building a good common API. Over time more and more of the underlying API can be replaced with own common code. Be aware that everything involving time zones, date/time calculations and date/time parsing is a shitload of work 😄

Do you have a project that 1) is open source 2) use a single gradle module 3) has dependencies to manage? I have a Gradle plugin for managing dependencies that was designed for multi-gradle projects, but I’m now playing with a solution optimized for single gradle module. And I’m looking for open-source projects to see what works and what doesn’t https://github.com/jmfayard/buildSrcVersions/issues/55

Skate 0.0.2 Released https://github.com/UnknownJoe796/skate/releases/tag/0.0.2 Skate is an individual-file Kotlin runner and edit helper. Think Kotlin Scripting, but using the standard
    .kt
    instead of
    .kts
. You can import dependencies and more using file annotations.

I use it on my Mac already - it's completely platform agnostic. Uses Java only. It just doesn't have an installer script yet - you can download it, unzip it, and add it to your path. I plan on adding such support soon. I'm having blast with it even right now though.
