    I often wish I could use regex search in Chrome. There are plugins, but they are clunky and unnatural.

    Cool, thanks a lot @gildor and @Eugenio. Nice article! Yeah, it's definitely a lot nicer to do this in Kotlin, and some extension methods might make it even easier. Yeah, I was also worried that it would be a much larger effort to make "KotlinPoet" than JavaPoet is because the language is already more complex than Java and new syntax comes much quicker.

    Anyone here using Jersey for Restful API development? 😂 Jersey is a JAX-RS reference implementation but everyone seems to prefer Spring MVC even for Restful API development.

    @dathoang.se I mostly use MyBatis because it let's me write SQL in a convenient way while letting me decide what queries I execute. I'm going to switch to KDBC for sure when it's complete. Being able to write type safe SQL-like queries with full control of mapping is something I've been wanting to do since I fell in love with Kotlin 🙂

    In lombok, the inclusion/exclusion strategies are very neat, (e.g.:
    @ToString(exclude = "password")
    @EqualsAndHashCode(of = "id")
    etc..). I'm wondering if kotlin data classes could have similar.

    @oshai To be fair 7 people moved in the opposite direction, Scala -> Kotlin. I've been 'forced' to temporarily move to Scala just because that what the client requires & what pays the bills. Would love to see more Kotlin jobs as it just feels more productive. (BTW interesting/scary how many devs switched from Java -> php !!)

    it is kind of classic game theory though to just give people just enough to make them still see change as expensive or risky, so sure, maybe they will not try to go toe-to-toe, but for sure they are attempting to blunt the draw of other languages, and the perception that their language is hopeless and will never improve..
