Cross-posting from #gamedev. I'm seeing, "Gradle project sync failed." after I reopen a project. It doesn't appear when I first import it. Everything still works fine, just a banner that shows up.

I wonder if anyone know right term for googling the following thing… I have a set of paths like a/b/c, a/b/d, a/e, x/y/z, x/y/w and I need to find subpaths that are most frequent common subpaths. In the example above those would be a/b and x/y. I’m not yet sure how to define “most frequent” and how it all can be organized and calculated in a most efficient way (there could be thousands of them).

gem env

on the machine’s command prompt I get the correct version with all the gems I’ve installed, but when I run it through the node’s

I get a different version, which is located in the

Library

folder and has older and fewer gems. My question is how do I make Jenkins use the version of ruby I installed which has all the gems I need?

Are there others missing local type aliases from time to time?

why does JB have so many IDEs... differed mostly by language, but all being essentially identical in UI? What prevents them from creating a unified IDE that can do it all? My guesses: performance, marketing, difficulty, legacy code

I'd pay to be able to edit Kotlin code from my Android smartphone and have full git availability. I am working on a project where I get inspired when I'm not at my desk, and be able to work bit by bit on the go would be very valuable to me. Is a mini IntelliJ planned for Android? I just need Kotlin/JVM support, ability to compile the code and run it on the device, and git support. I know an app named AIDE (which I bought in the past), but it seems abandoned, and doesn't support Kotlin. I guess it was made by 4 guys, so my dream doesn't seem so impossible. Is anything of this sort planned at some point? Is there a way to contribute or make it happen faster?

Hi there, very random question.. I am trying to import code style into IntelliJ. I have the XML file with the code style, it is version 173 so it should be ok. When I click on

Import Scheme / IntelliJ Idea Code Style XML

all the files are greyed out in the file dialog and I can not select the XML. Am I doing something wrong?

Speaking of Intellij, why do I suddenly have a number 2 inside a square between the C symbol (for java class) and the filename in my project explorer to the left (like so: 2️⃣, except black on yellow)? What is it telling me about my file or my class?

Why does IntelliJ show me database tables when I am searching for classes. Omg so infuriating. It even gives them a priority! Database table is not a class!
