@tipsy a lot of features aren't going to be simple tickboxes, so the columns could get very wide with explanation. For instance - interceptors/filters are a feature, but are they portable? Can they be composed into stacks that can be reused across applications? Or testing - how much infrastructure is required? How coupled are tests to the framework? Out of container? What is the effort to ditch your framework and port the test to a wire-test to be used for your new implementation? Essays could be written! :) hence, can I suggest that it's inverted so the features are rows :) Is a matrix even the right solution? One of the nice things about the todo-backend site for example is that there are consistent requirements.. something like that, whilst a shedload more work, at least gives an idea of what your code (could) look like.

@tipsy Actually - having said that, if you're just looking for the simples comparison between frameworks, the current orientation is probably better because it's easier to filter on rows. Ignore my comment about inverting it! :)

as a feature, what do you mean? i find if hard to image that something doesn't support cors (it's just headers after all?)

@tipsy indeed. Every owner of these products values different things - for instance http4k will never (ever!) be a rails clone with an ORM or a DI container - maybe just a mission statement would be enough? 🤔

@tipsy I added this CORS column and just meant proper CORS support, not just adding a static filter that enable CORS for everything. See https://docs.spring.io/spring/docs/current/spring-framework-reference/web.html#mvc-cors

Could we specify with a column what kind of processing is done, maybe : thread-pool based, non-blocking (event loop), reactive (event loop + backpressure), coroutines ?

@dave I am not sure about "Request tracing" and "Traffic recording / playback" columns, it seems to me things that could go in comments if you want to specify that

@sdeleuze Agree that the Traffic recording can be moved, but IMHO distributed request tracing is very important.
