Hello all. Got a question that is probably very subjective, but wanna hear some thoughts either way.

I'm in the process of building up a completely new service, that will do most of the work in JS on the client machines and the backend is gonna be a JVM.

I was wondering, what would you suggest for the backend framework, considering that the backend is mostly just gonna run GraphQL controllers.

Look at Kovert. I think it's very intuitive and let's you write less code

i'm going to implement job scheduling / periodic tasks in my backend soon. i'm using ktor and deploying on heroku. heroku suggests to use

quartz

and

rabbitMQ

, which i'm most likely going to try in the near future. alternative i guess would be

vertx

. does anyone have experience with these or other solutions? ideally i want to have persistent period tasks that also survive a restart / new deploy. (alternative i think would be to re-create all jobs/tasks on startup)

The Jenkins pipeline option is great if using a Jenkinsfile in the repository, because it doesn't really depend on a particular Jenkins instance (which is more failure resilient) and is source controlled...

Unless you have the HTTP server handle the whitelisting, it would be your forwarding service that would handle it (whether it be apache, nginx, a router, etc)

I used jwt and spring boot, was okay but I still have trouble with integration testing it

The error only occurs at compile time, and IDEA does not recognize the clash. Is there a place where the details of the stub method generation for Collection classes are documented?

Getting an illegalArgumentException when running this. "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Parameter type 'kotlin.Array<kotlin.String>' of parameter 'args' is not supported". Angle brackets are presnt where you'd expect; Slack seems to reformat this snippet.
