    @jessewilson I don't understand, can you please give me example? The complete events still exist in
    when
    it just what the events do is on different places such as
    when(it) {
      is A -> doA()
    }

    @Djaka Pradana Jaya Priambudi There is little to no difference with maintaining the state outside or inside of the composable. Feel free to store the snapshot state anywhere you like. If its inside the composable, the lifecycle of the state is tied to the composable lifecycle otherwise its tied to whoever has a reference to the state object.

    Using SQLDelight 1.5.3 along with the same version of the SQLDelight IDE Plugin, I got a trivial example where one file named
    Achievement.sq
    is
    CREATE TABLE achievement (two rows here...);
    And another named
    1.sqm
    is
    ALTER TABLE achievement
    ...;
    And it highlights
    achievement
    in “ALTER TABLE achievement” as
    No table found with name achievement
    . Tested with AS Flamingo Canary 1 and IntelliJ Ultimate 2022.2.2. Is this a problem on my end or is the IDE Plugin known to be like this? I know v2 is in active development atm as I saw a release an hour ago or so, so I wonder if things are more or less stable there and if you’d suggest I’d rather go with that one instead. It’s for a hobby project so no problem going with an Alpha. Note that this is simply a Plugin false positive, running the app and everything else works fine

    I can not get anvil to work with kotlin 1.7.20. Does this require an anvil update to kotlin 1.7.20 or is there a different way to fix it?

    This may be a stupid question, but if zipline can automatically detect when the dev forgets to close it, why is it not able to close itself?
  • j

    jw

    10/05/2022, 9:18 PM
    It could, but it's nondeterministic when the leak is detected. Additionally the detection is not fool proof. You can still leak something that won't be detected.
  • j

    jw

    10/05/2022, 9:19 PM
    In general coroutines' structured concurrency makes it trivial to tie your service lifetime to the same scope as the Zipline instance itself so they can all be closed together.
  • l

    Landry Norris

    10/05/2022, 9:22 PM
    When you mention tying the service lifetime to the same scope as the zipline service, does that mean that it’s fine to open and close zipline instances for tasks that can run multiple times, as opposed to using some sort of app lifecycle (such as an Activity’s lifecycle or some NSNotification equivalent)?
  • j

    jw

    10/05/2022, 9:35 PM
    I would keep it open for that. But the service that you take can be closed when the scope for the Zipline instance is closed to ensure it's cleaned up

    this channel averages like 4 messages a day, no reason to push things into threads unnecessarily
  • j

    jw

    10/07/2022, 4:54 PM
    slack should really allow disabling threads and having replies occur inline. or otherwise disabling the chat box, forcing someone to click a button to start a thread, and reverse sort the channel by newest post in a thread (so active ones stay at the bottom)
  • j

    jw

    right now it's the worst of both worlds of a linear chat and threaded chat

    Hi i'm a bit confused with molecule's multiplatform https://github.com/cashapp/molecule/issues/2 It says support iOS starting
    0.5.0-beta01
    but when I tried add ios into the module, I got unresolved reference but it still compiles to android and desktop. Is there a catch for the iOS support? Thank you
  • j

    jw

    10/07/2022, 10:57 PM
    So it actually fails to compile?
  • d

    Djaka Pradana Jaya Priambudi

    10/07/2022, 11:00 PM
    @jw yes it fails on iOS. Heres the error on xcode Showing Recent Messages Shortly: The required symbol app.cash.molecule/launchMolecule|-7305106088441339121[0] is missing in the module or module dependencies. This could happen if the required dependency is missing in the project. Or if there is a dependency that has a different version (without the required symbol) in the project than the version (with the required symbol) that the module was initially compiled with.

    I was playing around with Anvil, and I got a question. I got one module which is configured with the
    org.jetbrains.kotlin.multiplatform
    plugin, and I’d like to have the android target specifically have one class which is annotated with
    ContributesBinding
    . Thing is, I can’t quite apply the
    com.squareup.anvil
    plugin on that module since it’s MP and it seems to break everything if I do that. Is there a way I can only apply the plugin to my android target, or is there something completely different that I should do instead? Maybe some sample which does this that you’re aware of which I can take a look at?

    I'm in the process of getting a KMP project to target JVM. I'm seeing a bit of a difference in behavior in SQLDelight on JVM and Android. In Android, referencing a table in a subquery will cause the query listener to be notified when the subquery table changes. In JVM, I'm not seeing that behavior. Do I have a bug somewhere or is JVM different?
