Yeah, it's over engineering amongst other things.

The real reason to hate Maven is not the user facing API, but rather the plugin API 🙂

It keeps track of the current togglegroup automatically.

Just do that inside the hbox.

I use this technique in combination with an enum in the TodoMVC app actually:

The

whenSelected

construct is very nice to avoid having to listen to the toggleGroup's selectedToggleProperty.

What you get back from the

selectedToggleProerty

is just a

Toggle

so you might have to cast it to a

ToggleButton

to inspect it.

whenSelected

enables you to skip all that and just react when that toggle is selected instead.

the one with the dll's could be a tough one, the other I might just whip that up in the weekend

I think he misunderstands this. The preload-native-libraries is for Java JNI libs. To include dlls in his app he just needs to make sure they are in the build folder when he runs the package step.
