@ron I have made an attempt to merge the Int and Double versions of the

spinner

builder. At the same time it provides defaults for min/max/initialValue + the initialValue will be taken from the propertie if supplied. This also makes it possible to support Float builders, and it can more easily be bound to both IntegerProperty and ObjectProperty<Int>. If you have time, can you try it against your spinners?

FYI i havent fallen off the grid. Just survived my first full week at my new job. I thought I knew complex business asks, and then I started working as a business consultant for airline schedule design. Today I decided to build a TornadoFX app as an exercise to generate an airline schedule with simple variables, and all I have to say is wow. I feel like I have to have a PhD to make an algorithm that isn't brute force.

@thomasnield Happy to hear it. You're an important part of the team! And scheduling.. wow.. it looks so easy at first sight, but when you start diving into the corner cases and all the use cases you need to cover.. it's brutal. I've work on something as simple as a booking software for a model agency.. even that is insanely complex, can't even imagine how it must be in airline software!

@edvin i wil try the spinners this weekend went to finish the plugin first going to use the zipfs for the jar manipulation

Problem is that I can't understand why this would throw an exception.

the plugin has two goals now, “package” does all the heavy lifting and “deploy” does the deploying (once I write that)

I think it has to do with this method from IDEA returning null:

I am binding them to the corresponding phase so you dont have to do that

allthough I am still wondering if I want to tie the deploy goal to

mvn deploy

maybe I should bind it to “install"

@ron Probably best to use install, we shouldn't abuse deploy for this. It's tempting though.

I'll use the install phase

that zipFileSystem in java is very nice, makes work a lot easier

@edvin once the base of the plugin is working and people are testing it, we should start thinking about implementing the custom ui

Nice. Need to do the same for the Gradle plugin 🙂

Custom UI would be a good next step when we know everything is working.
