@gtnarg I think the ListMenu should support expanding to fill the parent container in the direction it is configured for. It looks a lot better if it spans the parent in many situations. I think you already did that in your app, right?

@edvin - not me, but it seems reasonable...

@gtnarg OK. I wonder if it should support expanding only in it's orientation direction or if it should be possible to do both.

OK, I'll add both. I thought I could have a property that just signaled "expand in the layout direction", but that's hard to convey if you can also configure horizontal and vertical as well.

I think I might be able to simply let the user configure max size of the listmenu.

That worked. Committed now. You can say

useMaxWidth = true

or

useMaxHeight = true

to expand the control to it's parent.

agree with @thomasnield both wouldn't hurt...

good... three out of the 25 actually did desktop apps... they were all hard core netbeans platform guys... 🙂

most were interested in kotlin more that anything, but it well.

i did one project using the netbeans platform... it was nice, but never kept up with it

Yeah, if you're an X RCP guy you have invested a lot of time in your technology. These people are not easily convinced.

I've done some apps with it. Found the API's nicer than Eclipse RCP, but it's still too much API in a way. Too many interfaces to implement, too much boiler plate.

they were nice, just heavily invested in what they have... it was still nice to meet others doing desktop work...
