I agreed. I think you can do almost anything. It is just tough getting all of the properties you need to set change. I'm very interested in setting up something for TornadoFX. I hope to be a little less busy at work maybe in a week or two...

I might add support for clicking a menu item in the ListMenu without actually selecting it, so basically disable selection mode. Some times it doesn't make sense to show the last menu item clicked.

@thomasnield There was a bug with

findParentOfType

which caused the Form issue you just had. Will check when it was fixed, hang on.

@edvin would you ever be able to do action = theAction()? IIRC there are some inline limitations with reified types today, but maybe something down-the-line?

is the any benefit to action over setOnAction (other than being more succinct)?

@gtnarg action is shorter, and it also gives us the possibilty to add parameters, like async = true for example, down the line. setOnAction is not TornadoFX, while action is our extension function.
