functions's second parameter is a property that controls the enabled state of the command. You still have to change that state somehow.

You can also bind the parameter against a property:

and using that as the default enabled state, only negated.

I would then trigger running=true before the action is executing and running=false afterwards (In the framework).

I did this initially, but that made me start to think about concurrency. What if the action is invoked twice (manually)?

Should I just discard any action invocations while we're running?

I don't know how this is handled in C#/Xamarin

About the Command bindings from yesterday - I think I will make sure that the command is never enabled when it's running. On top of that, you can control the enabled property as well.

I'm struggling with finding a way to support both a typed parameter and no parameters for the Command. It might not be possible in the Kotlin type system, so I will present some alternatives if/when I give up.

@edvin hey I'm running into a problem several times that would be a perfect solution in tornado FX. Can I submit a lazy property delegate that is guaranteed to run on the FX thread? This is helpful when you have a connection pool being worked on different threads but it suddenly needs to prompt for a username and password
