Folks; pertinent question: I am writing an Application for Android + JavaFX Desktop and several of my App models contain Images. Now, the Android/JavaFX representation of an image is different; and so generics seems the first answer. However this ends up 'flowing through' my Application in an unwelcome way. Any suggestions on how to deal with a 'common' image type without generics or lots of casting?

@abhinay Yes, that's right. Since writing that, I've accepted the generics solution, but hit a new problem that Dagger2 doesn't support generics.

I'm going to strip out Dagger2, damn thing's caused more problems than it ever solved.

@alexp11223 The Commands are new, the concept is taken from C#. It works remarkably well and nicely solves some issues you might face with normal actions. I will make a screencast about it this weekend and also document it in the guide.

from the screenshot all the way to the top, even past the header of the Workspace. I used the

wrapper

builder, which will wrap the root node of a View or Fragment with an arbitrary Node. I then assign the old root to somewhere else inside the wrapper:
