@Ruckus could the SVG problem be related to kotlin numbers?

the black vs. gray is probably a misdirected style

I have no idea, but I doubt it. Rasterizing the SVG is handled by the internals of JavaFX. I think it's only touched by Kotlin in String form. You'd have to see if the issue also shows up in a plain JavaFX project.

Managed to get the Kotlin 1.1.4 EAP 32 REPL running (incl setting class path to TornadoFX JAR, and passing -Djava.awt.headless=false as a parameter), and have imported tornadofx package. Defined a view class called MainWindow (extends View) and a application class called Application (extends App). When it comes to creating an instance of Application the following is printed in the REPL *Jul 22, 2017 31849 PM tornadofx.Stylesheet$Companion detectAndInstallUrlHandler INFO: Installing CSS url handler, since it was not picked up automatically Line_5$MyApp@2c492b03*, but nothing is displayed on the screen.

How does one manually bootstrap TornadoFX in the Kotlin REPL (get the app to start)?

Is there a way to replicate the application Gradle plugin's behaviour with a TornadoFX app in the Kotlin REPL?

Downright bummer (bugger) with the alternative bootstrap method. Cannot call Application.launch method more than once 🙁 . If you need to start the app again then you have to restart the Kotlin REPL and do EVERYTHING from scratch again, aaaaaaah! 😧 (does Slack have a horror emoji?)

Also when the app is running the main thread is blocked 🙁

Since there was yesterday no replay to my map question maybe I should ask if someone already tried to include a map (google, bin, osm, yahoo…) inside a tornadofx view? There are several projects available with javafx and I tried to reproduce it this night with tornadofx but have had no luck. Maybe it would be interesting to have one standard approach or lib that is recommended to be used with kotlin and tornadofx so that support is easier?

There should really be nothing TornadoFX specific about including a map component. I will try to have a look tonight, but my schedule is very tight this weekend.

Hello everyone. I have made some progress since my last questions (yay!) but now I'm stuck again. I have a

TreeView

which contains cells with their text bound to a

SimpleStringProperty

. But - when I update the data, the cells do not get updated until I open/close a node. How can I get the cells to update automatically? I expected them to do this automatically since they're bound to a property.
