@pim JavaFX Node classes aren't final, so you can extend them. You can extend Control or simply Pane depending on what you need/whether you want to write the layout algo yourself.

Hi, I have one question to the View Model in the “Introducing ViewModel” example of https://edvin.gitbooks.io/tornadofx-guide/content/11.%20Editing%20Models%20and%20Validation.html. I think it is quite easy, but what do I need to do when I want to add a function that shall delete the current person?

Is it save to delete the person from the persons list?

It works for me with persons.remove(model.item) and it however magically updates the view. I thought I have to set the new currently selected person manually? Or can I leave it so and it is clean?

@borboss I avoid init() because the user is left waiting if the operation takes a long time. I'd put something like this in Application.start() in an onShown() of the Stage. Also, wrap it in a Task. That way, I can bring up a ProgressBar and bind the GRPC connecting Task to it.

CSS question... trying to style line chart symbols... JavaFX version

You would need

defaultColor0 and chartLineSymbol { ... }

@tieskedh This is @thomasnield 's code, but I think maybe he was mistaken. The intent was probably to avoid creating temporary lists, but I think your example is better. Isn't that right, Thomas?
