@edvin @carlw I am back. Concerning the password field focus, I think about switching to eventbus to make this easier. I wanted to reproduce the example in “https://edvin.gitbooks.io/tornadofx-guide/content/18.%20Config%20Settings%20and%20State.html” but did not like that username and password are saved. So I only saved username. But if it is started withe the username set, I have to focus the password field instead.

If you save the password, make sure it's encrypted. Password expiration rules help mitigate the risk

Concerning the vertical centering of the imageview I did not have success. It is always on top. Maybe I will have to reproduce this in SceneBuilder and try to port this back. These layout magic things are the only thing I like SceneBuilder for

Make sure that Scene Builder doesn't mask any layout problems. Be sure to hit Ctrl+P and check the resizing behavior if that's appropriate

The password can be entered every time, I think this is no problem, but the focus is not nice since it is preselected and if you hit return you delete it

Even if you expect the users to like a particular set of dimensions, the resizing helps understand how your UI will respond to new requirements. This will avoid having the whole thing break if you're working a simple ticket

Yes, these are good hints. I think I do this tomorraw and this evening have a look to the treetable view and find out how to add custom cell renderer for comboboxes. I asked you a long time ago and you gave me some code for a table but this did not work for the treetable. But I think I am now a bit less newbie with this and might be able to solve it
