Is it possible to make sceneToLocal JUST the grid?

Found a solution for now: I think I have this first iteration of the repo ready. Feel free to check it out!

@carlw the above repo includes my solution for a transparent overlay for drag and drop - the most notable thing for me is to assign a background color with a VERY small opacity through color creation i.e.

backgroundColor += c(0, 100, 100, 0.05)

@anujkrvaish I don't think we have any special support for that, so the default JavaFX mechanisms should be used. We might be able to support similar behavior to TableView editing if that's what you need.

@anujkrvaish You could always do a workaround! It might be possible for you to simply render a textfield over the desired editable cell, then upon entry, change the database and either refresh the table or change the cell itself

@edvin am I correct that the layout debugger does not show the id of a view?

but where would you call it?

I have a FXCollections.observableArrayList backing a listview which I'd like to be able to filter on. Can anyone suggest how I might do this? I know I can filter the arraylist but again this does not refresh the listview. @andy.burdett Tornadofx has a SortedFilteredList you can use for that

just swap out the FXCollections.observableArrayList for a sortedfilteredlist?

@poohbar don't forget to cross reference javafx. just like tornadofx leverages and exposes the api, the javadoc from javafx is the official docs for Stage the tip i gave you was just one place you could put the call. you can make the call anywhere you can get a primaryStage which is basically app-wide except for in the init{} and class def since the OS window resource won't be available at that point

Thanks.. I actually have done a few apps in JavaFX and I must say TornadoFX so far does not seem as familiar as I would hope. It's frustrating that the authors self-proclaim how easy is TornadoFX to pick up while omitting to include the most basic kdocs. (e.g.

singleAssign

) It makes it a bit harder to use. That being out of the way I must say I do enjoy the ideas behind TornadoFX and it seems very well put together. I am totally in full support of this project. 💯
