@pike Thanks Will, that looks like a pretty good starting point but I will need more functionality. Specifically I need to be able to overlay other plots and markers like so: https://www.amcharts.com/stock-chart/ But I am getting pretty excited about it. I always loved "drawing" in Swing and JavaFX so I might actually build on this or make an opensource charting library for JavaFX that fits these needs. I think it would eventually lead to a better UI experience than embedding a web view.

but on first glance, normally a view has a root:

class MainView : View("Inv") {
   private val controller : Controllers by inject()
   override val root = tableview(listofProducts) { ..... }
}

you dont need a singleAssign for the tableview

update on Imageview v imageview: My app compiled and built itself, but crashed at the page with imageview data: it couldn't find the resource in Image.

Can you shed some more light on what did you exactly do?

Did you update your model and remove ImageView from it?

I have been reading up on testfx and it is very geared towards using fxml, I did not see a nice decent way to start a test based on a view

in the tests that are there, the views are built up using FXToolkit.fixture and a view is made on the spot instead of using an already defined view
