    If you have a list of messages, use a 
    ListView

    That creates a list of selectable items, and I’d need a custom renderer as well. I basically just need a vbox that scrolls, and I can add to.

    Trying to get some auto scrolling to work, and I got this:
    Copy code
    val before = scroll.vvalue
                realMessageList.add(MessageView(who, content))
                if (before == 1.0) {
                    scroll.vvalue = 1.0
                }
    by the time the forth line is hit, the vvalue still hasn’t changed (maybe not rendered yet?). Is there a better way to do this?

    also, is it possible to convert a 
    Node
    into the original view? I want to modify a property on it, after I added it to the vbox     got it working, nvm

    @perryprog If a Node is a root for a View, you can get to the View using 
    node.uiComponent()

    a big part of the reason they're not is a failure to match the Chrome experience for smooth, instant deployment and update of streaming apps.

    I was looking at standing up my TorandoFX application on AWS for the time being. I know I've made other considerations as well, such as bundling the code for easy deployment on things like jitpack, but since I wouldn't necessarily consider my project a "code library source" I'm not sure if it would be the best usecase
