Refreshed my website with Bootstrap 4...still playing with the header and footer but the articles themselves should look better. Robert is going to start adding small styling things we've been working on for components like TableView.

Stage#onCloseRequest

but it would be a pain to use it on every controller.

I put this type of cleanup in the hiding events on the main Stage (onUnDock in TornadoFX). You'll want some UI left to report what's going on with the shutdown, giving the users the option to do a hard shutdown. The other handlers I can think of like the java shutdown handlers or stop() in the Application class might give your app a long pause between the last visible UI component and the icon at the bottom of the screen.

I just committed a fix to how

cellFormat

works with regards to applied styles. Now the

style

property of a

ListCell

will be cleared automatically, so you can safely configure styles without fear of the style being applied to a reused cell for an empty row. I believe this is the correct behaviour, but I might be wrong. Hopefully it has no side effects - please try it in your apps if you have a chance 🙂

Nice Carl! I was thinking about giving TaskStatus the ability to signal cancel to the task directly, but a TaskStatus object can be reused (bad idea if inject is used), so that might not be clean. Other solutions would be to fire a cancel event perhaps, or setting some other property in scope so that we wouldn't have to hold on to the task instance.

Hi, I am trying to attach a hover to odd and even rows in a TableView but the syntax i am using turns the hover into cell highlighting, How can i get the rows to be yellow on hover in the following program?
