@carlw no reload on focus. I added it to my app's init, but seems to make no difference. issue persists

. Tried them one at a time, and both. No difference

Hello everyone. I want to use ListMenu and style it with typesafe css. Changing background color for listMenu and listItem works fine. But setting the textFill don't work. Can you give me a working example. Thanks a lot.

@thlinde the trick is that the ListMenu component uses a javafx shape Text object with a fill property rather than a Label object with a textFill property

I updated the example above to pull out the explicit addClass(Styles.listMenu) since I followed the naming convention (list-menu => ListMenu)

i think this is the style you're looking for in edvin's stylesheet

you're styling items.

i'd just use the stylesheet as a reference. I don't know if it's been completely reduced to exactly what's in effect. I used scenicview.jar to pick out what I wanted to set. (Not just for edvin's stylesheet, but for any javafx project.) http://fxexperience.com/scenic-view/

I tested a JavaFX app with Azul's OpenJDK distro ("Zulu"). I referenced my jfxrt.jar as a classpath member in IntelliJ. For outside the IDE, I'd put it in the ext/ folder.

It looks like with Linux, the Debian package managers have an openjfx 8 available. I was building with it last week with Atlassian BitBucket. I supplemented a standard OpenJDK Docker Image with a "apt-get install openjfx" command

If this package is kept current, then you can avoid compiling.

I haven't looked at MacOS yet.
