Getting pulled away...I would look at cell creation. If there's a case where filled-in cells and never-initialized cells are ok but recycled cells are a problem. Next, I'd try to pull out the filter code and see if that's the problem. Hopefully you can reproduce this on demand

I mostly use Weak for bi-directional relationships. I get one side to balk. Say there's a parent.children object containing objects with a field child.parent

you can search for # of object instances, for example the impl. of TableFilter

Create a stage with a single button. Create a second stage with the TableFilter. Load data into it. Close the second stage. Look in jvisualvm to see if there are any objects left

work. So... that might be an issue

it's really important with javafx. maybe tornadofx mitigates it. i work on some projects with people new to javafx (experienced devs though). they often pass around handles to controls while working tickets that lead to memory leaks. For example a feature "also update screen A when you save" if implemented poorly creates a graph that can't be freed up without one side being weak

@Sergio Casero this has some javafx code with text selection. i was using the clipboard, but you should opt for the standard cut(), copy() , and paste() on the textfield class http://bekwam.blogspot.com/2014/11/javafx-cut-copy-and-paste-from-toolbar.html

Maybe I think I will add something like "if the user performs double clicks, then copy the whole text" what you think?

I'm starting my first tornadofx application. If I want to show completely different views on launch depending on command line arguments, how should I approach that?

e.g.: I either want to open a wizard or the "normal" application.

I also sometimes want to open multiple windows at application start.

And pass things that aren't strings to them.

Do I want an App that does not show anything that launches Fragments?
