When I can take a look at your whole app I might suggest another approach. I suspect you don't really need the bus at all you see 🙂 Basically you can put this viewmodel in a controller and call it

selectedPhoto

or something. Bind to it in the same way as here and simply call

controller.selectedPhoto.rebind { photo = selectedItem }

to update. Everything that listens for the selected photo would be updated.

I just realized this works because we never commit the model. There is never a moment where the model tries to write back into the Photo instance

Very fast indeed 🙂 I think that the next candidate for ControlsFX will probably be the column resize feature. I will start working on that after I have documented OSGi for the guide. @thomasnield I probably should :))

in TornadoFX. I found two bugs while I reimplemented it for JavaFX, and one is still left in the TornadoFX version.

No worries about the guide. Take all the time you need. Are you going to maintain both versions of the row expand?

@jonathan: is there a published nightly snapshot of ControlsFX somewhere I can use as a Grade/Maven dependency? I'd use JitPack.io but I think that only works for GIT, not Mercurial.
