I actually do want to learn this because my airline pricing applications are increasingly becoming complex and resembling a "suite" of tools.

activate the service?

I'm curious also... suppose I wanted to add a

service is started. Is that possible?

I'm getting a "No controller specified" in a LoadException. The controller isn't set in the FXML.

Plz disregard. I had the -SNAPSHOT compiled in my project. The latest release is working for me.

@thomasnield the way I read the documentation if the receiving container is a tabpane it should add it as a tab:

@carlw Phew, I was afraid I had made a mistake in the release 🙂

@thomasnield The bundle activator is instantiated by the OSGi framework. The reason it is able to do so is that the activator class is set in the manifest. This is done in the pom.xml that comes with the OSGi sample appl. You don't need to call anything to get the tab embedded, as Ron pointed out, using the addViewsWhen - since it works on TabPanes as well.

@thomasnield If you want to do something other than adding views when a bundle is activated, the way to go is to create an interface and register that as a service etc. If you have a use case I will create an example application to show how that works. There are plenty of use cases for this, I just don't have any imagination 🙂
