@edvin i haven't written a browser extension, but it seems like you can get access to lower level stuff beyond just the DOM

@edvin I think a browser extension supporting the kind of app in the Tornado docs is feasible — JavaFX components working with a REST client — but supporting the entire JDK is too difficult (crypto, java.sql, IO)

Is there a way to turn on Mnemonic Parsing for label fields in the form? Will/can they be set as the label for a control/node?

I just put mnemonic parsing on a form that's a GridPane with Labels in the left column and TextFields on the right. I'm using Scene Builder and put an underline in the Labels and checked the parsing property. When I run the app and press Alt, the mnemonic-enabled Labels are highlighted and their underlines displayed.

The focus remains in the first TextField. I'm not sure if this is because I'm on Linux. I've had problems with mnemonics on Linux. See this bug I put in http://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=JDK-8165937

You want to go Mnemonic + Tab to get to a TextField?

right, that is what i need in tornadofx... i don't know what the equivalent of "checking the parsing property" is...

or you do that in the fxml... and the load it...

i was using the builders...

i do everything in FXML, but i think the consensus is that the builders are preferrred (not the deprecated builders)

@jchildress Why are you assigning the password label to a variable? You can bind directly in the label constructor. Same for the passwordField.
