OK, I added the mnemonic feature @jchildress

The implementation is very simple:

@User uploaded a file: Untitled

Now if you call

mnemonicTarget()

on any Node inside a field, and the label of the field has an underscore, you should be able to activate the shortcut and the input field shall receive focus.

@carlw This feature will require minimum platform specific testing I think, we're just using the JavaFX API, so it should behave like any other JavaFX app using mnemonics for labels.

@edvin The ticket i put in to the JDK had more to do with the popup related to MenuItem. Now, the Label mnemonic usually refers to the Label on a Button selecting the outer control, right? That's what the findParent() is for?

🙂 It looks for a parent field, and attaches to the label of that field. The findParent thing was made public so it can be used for general purpose stuff as well. It will find the first parent of the given type.

I'm trying to bind a StyleClassedTextArea (RichTextFx) to a ViewModel. The only exposed textProperty() on the textarea is an ObservableValue<String> so won't work bidirectionally. There is a separate method for setting text -> textArea#replaceText(anchor,length,text). Any suggestions?

I'm guessing I need to update my model manually during rebindOnChange() but am unsure of how to do this...
