I just created this ViewModel implementation and realized a few nice things:

@User uploaded a file: Untitled

Now you can just do

model.site = someNewSite

and the rebinding happens automatically. You can also bind to the empty property. I use it for disabling delete buttons when there is no value in the model.

These things could be easily done automatically in an

ItemViewModel

. It could take care of all this automatically.

In my experience at least I almost always bind to just a single object in the view model, so it would reduce a lot of boiler plate.

This model I will bind against a listview and a form at the same time. Very convenient.

I'll try to add an ItemViewModel to see how that feels.
