@dansvidania It's because you're using the

menuitem

builder wrong. It doesn't take a

setOnAction

parameter. Try removing the

setOnAction

wrapper and you should be good. I kind of wished it was like this, I'm not so fond of this deviance from the action handling.. I blame Thomas 🙂 hehe

What happens here is that the first time you activate the menuitem, it gets it's action property set (because the code inside the menuitem block runs). The next time you activate the menuitem, it again sets the onAction event, but since it was already set, it also triggers.

I have a neo4j "database" that I am working on adding to a map... I am working on connecting the nodes via their relationships... I plan on pragmatically setting most of the initial connections, but want to be able to add other nodes interactively... and connect them if needed.

For mine it's not super critical. Nice to have but not a game stopper...

but in my mvp I dont need to show that
