Sweet! Thank you, even though it wasn't directly a bug (the docs say you need to consume), it's probably more user friendly to not require you to consume the response.

@jchildress That StackOverflowError was all me, sorry. Do you have time to test one final time? About the 403 you get from requestb.in.. It indicates that authentication is missing, could that be the case somehow?

@edvin sure i will try one more time... the 403 is strange.. I don't authenticate... or not explicitly...

@edvin It works. Thank you. I still get 403 with requestb.in, but that is fine with me... for my application it works perfect. If I switch between Apache and the default client I don't notice any difference. Post and Get work. Thanks again.

@jchildress Great! I'll try to investigate what headers the httpclient sends by default, and possibly add those same headers to the default implementation if they make sense.

@jchildress I figured it out. The requestb.in requires a User-Agent header. I'll make sure there is a default user-agent included with the Rest calls from the default client.

I've committed a fix for this now, so it should work with requestb.in as well 🙂

I'm working on scopes documentation today, and something hit me.. Maybe it should be possible to dictate the instance of for example an ItemViewModel in a specific scope? I think that would be useful so that you can preload an ItemViewModel for a scope before you kick off further resources in that scope. Will try it and add a sample to the kitchen sink if it works out.

What would be a good name for a function that will set a specific instance of a type into the given scope?

Actually, it's already possible:

FX.getComponents(scope).put(MyViewModel::class, MyViewModel())

, but we could provide a shortcut if we can find a good name.

To test this, I called it

setInScope(value, scope)

but that obviously sucks.

Totally different off topic question.... Refreshing a table view... I wanted to add an icon like the last column in this screen shot has. Do you think that is possible/easy with JavaFX?
