@edvin @ron I don't fully understand the issue, but at first glance and description of the problem, yes I think Rx could streamline that.

@thomasnield Maybe if Grant gets some prototypes up and running you can check out how you'd feel about this when thinking of Rx and how you'd solve the same thing without coroutines.

Hi guys, I want to use my jar app on Raspberry PI. The problem is, when I am using DataGrid I am not able to scroll using pan gesture(scroll like on tablets, smartphone), only mouse wheel is working. Is there any solution for scrolling with pan gesture using DataGrid? Already tried with:

-Dcom.sun.javafx.touch=true

datagrid is not a standard javafx component. So I dont think it supports touch

@edvin wrote it, he might know for sure when he comes online (which he usually does when somebody does the @edvin thing)

so you have a touch enabled panel on your pi? cool

@ron yeah thats right, it’s not standard component. I have touch display connected to PI showing some data in gridpane. It’s working properly for JFxtras Agenda etc. It’s just a small school project.

Yeah PI can be used for various things but oracle stops official support for javafx embeded devices since Java 8. So I must use openJDK or other alternatives to run javafx app on PI.

openjfx should work just fine

It is but it is very laggy and slow. Maybe there is some configuration issue on my side, right now I trying to make it clean and smooth. There is possibility to use Gluon port. I will give a chance. 🙂

I hear a pi 3 is very fast

Right now pi2. The same performance is on pi3 with openJDK
