Hi everyone, my name is Sangmin Kim and I’m a android & backend server developer and an undergraduate student of Computer Science & Engineering at Seoul National University in South Korea. I’ve been using kotlin at the production level for about 2.5 years, working on Android App development and Spring Webflux Server projects. I grew a lot of love for kotlin as it has a good backend part that runs on various platforms, but also provides a modern syntax for the language itself, and I came to the channel because I saw a good opportunity to contribute to the language through GSoC. During the past 2.5 years, I have been replacing my existing asynchronous processing libraries such as RxJava3 and WebFlux with kotlin coroutines, and in the process, I have come to love the elegant code and sophisticated behavior of using coroutines for asynchronous processing. That’s why I’m interested in the “Parallel stacks for Kotlin Coroutines in the debugger” project, and it would be a great opportunity to participate 😸 Thanks for reading this long message, it would be an honor to have you join me in contributing to kotlin this summer!
