I saw a PR to remove all the non-compose folders from the core repo. This could make it much easier to understand Compose for other platforms by reducing unrelated items, but I can also see how that would make merging upstream harder. Is this something that’s eventually planned? I know the Android team acknowledged <https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/267642555|a request to move Compose to its own repo>.

That was just an experiment, that indeed complicated usptreaming/deupstreaming, and because of that we decided to not proceed further.

I figured upstreaming would be a challenge. Hopefully Google works on moving Compose out of androidx at some point.
