Be good to add some localisation to the app at some point....anyone for example know any French? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
๐Ÿฅ– 2
๐Ÿ˜„ 3
m
Good call ๐Ÿ™‚ I'll try to make a stab at it before Android Makers
j
With use of Material 3 you can definitely see closer similarity now between the apps
j
nice!
Haven't tried that yet
y
ga_IE and en_AU next?
I'll do a cleanup of Wear strings, good to localise at same time.
m
I did a few as part of my PR, didn't run too many tests myself but screenshot tests should have caught any issue?
y
There must be automated services for this? For 20+ languages?
m
In my previous company, we used a service but can't remember the name ๐Ÿ˜…
It was expensive though
But can't remember how much either ๐Ÿ˜… , time flies
j
There's fun also around sometimes having to make UI more adaptive with having more languages..... German comes to mind in particular!
y
That kotlinconf meeting room name broke my complications
j
I doubt many people actually learnt how to pronounce them ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
The Droidcon naming I think is much better idea

Out of curiosity: how do we plan to internationalize the conference content? Let's say... Sessions or speakers descriptions.
m
At Android Makers, the language of the title/description is the language in which the talk is given
Which means if your locale is french you still see English description for English talks
(and vice versa)
