Out of curiosity, I remember that there was the
org.jetbrains.gradle.apple.applePlugin
gradle plugin, is this still a supported configuration at all? If so, is there docs for this?

For now,
org.jetbrains.gradle.apple.applePlugin
works only with AppCode IDE. But AppCode is sunsetting this year.
But, yes
org.jetbrains.gradle.apple.applePlugin
is working.
Maybe in the future this plugin will be available with another IDE. But I exactly don't know.

Gotcha! I really love the idea of project generation as Xcode projects are notoriously hard to track in version control

I do have AppCode though, and I’m gonna miss using it once it’s been sunset. XCode is such a pain in the ass

Sunsetting AppCode certainly increased my interest in compose-ios, so cunning plan Jetbrains.

I can certainly say that I've always been interested in composed for iOS, but because at work I have to deal with an iOS app, and even with iOS development experience I just can't stand Xcode, I default AppCode
