I am new on slack and a little confused. I need help for some kotlin problems. Where can I get it?
v
Look at the list of channels whether you find one that is about the topic you want to task and if you don't find one, #getting-started is a good catch-all for the rest.
Just do not post to multiple channels, but at most post the link to the original thread to other channels if you really think you need more attention, and do not split a topic to several threads by sending multiple messages. Either edit the original post or add a further message to the thread of your message. And avoid posting 3-page stack traces in the original message as those are very hard to handle on mobile clients, but post it to the thread in a new message in such a case.

Thank you. I have already joint the #android channel.

Also always consider the channel topics that describe what should be discussed in a channel and what not.

I am confused about the language used in this channel. Can I use german or only english? Is there a Translation Tool?
c
It should only be in English. There are some channels for language-specific stuff (e.g. #french, #german-lang) but most people do not join them, so they tend to be inactive.
n
Well of cause i understand English, but in writing i make mistakes. And some recommended statements i dont understand. I hope this is not a problem for the comunity.
c
Small mistakes are ok, don't worry. Your english in this thread is good.
v
Usually not in such world-wide communities. There is usually always a big amount of people who are not native-speakers. Just ask if you didn't understand something and don't be embarrassed if someone asks you to clarify because he didn't understand. It is even harder if a non-native speaker tries to understand another non-native speaker. 🙂

I actually wonder where your confusion about the language stems from. I only see english messages. 😄

Except for system messages that are localized by your actual Slack client settings like
n
Oh yes. I've seen some messages or parts in this channel in german language.
The 2nd message i got in this thread i did not understand completely. I hope I will not make any complicated Posting.

As an incoming reading and a non native speaker. Your english is on point and easy to understand. You are good to go
