I am unable to change the padding of the supporting text in a TextField, because supportingTextPadding() is not a public API. There is a comment:

// TODO(246775477): consider making this public

Is there a way to see the status of this? I assume this refers to an issue tracker ID but I can’t find it.

It’s probably an internal-only ticket. Easiest thing to do is file a feature request for it and mention this ticket
