Compose for Wear OS 1.2.0-beta02 was released on Wed 7th June, with updated baseline profiles - see <https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/releases/wear-compose#1.2.0-beta02|release notes> for more details. Also, we have released 1.0.0-alpha06 of the wear.compose.compose-material3 library with a minor bug fix - see <https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/releases/wear-compose#material3-1.0.0-alpha06|release notes>.

Any reason why Baseline profiles weren't updated before?

Only that it's a manual process - we have updated them now that we have stable APIs in the beta and will finalise them for 1.2 in the release candidate.
