While introducing Kotlin notebooks to my team we found out that they are an intellij ultimate feature.
Are there plans to change that?

You can use regular Jupyter or DataLore.

Hello, @Paul Woitaschek. Due to the current technical constraints, it's currently not possible to utilize it outside of IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate. We are working now on lifting this limitation. However, the decision on whether Kotlin Notebooks will become accessible in the community edition has not been finalized.
