one hint I have is this line I found under Idea-Gradle settings:

In a pure Java/Kotlin project, building and running by means of the IDE might be faster, thanks to optimizations

I wonder why there hasnt been much more focus on optimization from the Gradle team.. is because is hard/unfeasible optimize for specific IDEs?
